Face Cards

In card games, such as blackjack and poker, the term face card refers to cards of the following cards: Jack, Queen, and King. The reason these cards are called this way is due to the fact that they feature drawings of the members of the royal court. This is in contrast with the rest of the classic 52 card casino deck:

• Cards from 2 to 10 feature a number;
• Aces feature an insignia; 
• A recent invention and a wild card, Jokers are not considered to be face cards
