Fifth Street (River)

In the context of stud poker games, such as Texas Hold’em and Omaha, the term river or fifth street refers to the reveal of the fifth and final community card, as well as the name of the betting round associated with this event. In many ways, the river is the most important part of a poker game. During this phase, the final bets are made and it is the last opportunity for the players to call each others’ bluffs.
