Online Slots, Poker and Table Games Will Launch in Pennsylvania in July

After following in the steps of US states with legal online gambling, Pennsylvania will soon see iGaming with player-favorite online slots, poker and table games as soon as July.

This was announced by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), saying that after reviewing the situation, they determined that 90 days should be enough for the license holders to prepare and roll out their gaming platforms.

Overall, there are 7 casinos that have the certificate to offer all three (poker, slots and table games) and 10 with a license to offer only slots and table games. Additionally, there are three gaming operators that have a license as well. Interestingly, two out of 13 casinos in the state have not filed for an iGaming license.

It is important to note that iGaming itself does not indicate gambling, as that requires online wagering to be rolled out and tested. Allegedly, one of the licensed operators is preparing to start testing online wagering in a few weeks.

If everything goes according to plan, online gambling could elevate the local market to the likes of  New Jersey with $39m March revenue, which would only incentivize more states to legalize online gambling.
