Fox hits the headlines as being the first major media organization to put its name directly on a gambling app in North America. Before this, other media companies had only invested in standalone brands to save them from the controversial issues at times associated with gambling. This is also another move by the Fox parent company to dip their toes into the gambling world after Disney bought DraftKings as a part of the Fox acquisition deal.

Fox Bet has been launched in New Jersey and is set to give its users incredible services. These services include access to expert insight, sports content, news, analysis as well as commentary. Fox bet has been launched in partnership with The Stars Group (TSG), which is a major gaming provider. The partnership was spearheaded by FOX Sports Chief Executive Officer and Executive Producer Eric Shanks. Ahead of the launch, Fox Bet chief executive officer, Robin Chhabra said, “Our targets are among casual betters and smaller wagers just like Sky Bet.”

Besides, it bears the appeal of a reputable sports brand name, and it is currently available on iOS, Android, and desktop. With time, it is expected to roll out to states worldwide.

It has been considered a bold move as there are risks associated with the venture such as financial strains leading to the closing of such companies. Sun Bets, which was a partnership between The Sun and Tabcorp Holdings, an Australian gambling group, closed after experiencing consistent financial strains.
