Non-Negotiable Chip

A non-negotiable chip is a casino chip that cannot be exchanged for money.

Such chips are given to players via the casino’s promotional program. They can only be used to make wagers or pay for other services at a gambling venue and cannot be exchanged for money at the cashier’s cage.

Non-negotiable chips are the most common type of comps given to high rollers and other players by casinos.
