The catastrophic fires in Australia have been ravaging for quite some time and a lot of people lost their homes and entire belongings in the fire. Many people from around the world have donated millions of dollars to fire relief efforts and expressed the outpour of support for the losses of lives, as well as wildlife.

Still, even in the darkness, light illuminates and paves the road for some. A man from Queensland, Australia just won $1 million in lotto winnings. The same person lost his home in the bushfires late last year.

Wife’s Special Numbers

The man wants to remain anonymous and he actually won the grand prize using the special numbers of his wife: 9, 11, 13, 22, 24, and 42 whilst the supplementary were 1 and 26. Lauren Cooney, the spokesperson for the Lott contacted the man this morning, and he said: “My family just lost their home in the bushfires in northern New South Wales and it wasn’t insured, so thank you very much.”

Additionally, the lucky winner said:
“I can’t wait to go home and give my wife a big kiss and a cuddle,” and afterwards implied that he was using her special numbers.

Prior to acquiring the big lotto win, his family wasn’t sure if they would be able to rebuild the house, financially since the house wasn’t insured. Cooney spoke for the news about the damages that the house withstood:

“They were going through the site looking for any special family mementoes that they could salvage, but all they could find was some teacups.”

Upon receiving the news, the man said:
“This really has come at the most incredible time.”
